COVERING THE SCIENCE, BUSINESS, AND POLITICS OF WOMEN'S HEALTH. DAILY.
On this Memorial Day, we highlight a woman dedicated to others’ well-being—Julie Moore, an Army wife who reshaped how the military delivers the worst news. In the 1960s, she feared receiving a cold telegram announcing her husband’s death. After a false alarm with a taxi driver, she arranged for Western Union to call her when death notices arrived in her town, so she could personally go and support those families. Her efforts led to a sweeping change: the military now delivers death notifications in person, with uniformed officers. See the full CBS story here or scroll for Julie's photo.

And as always, our top clicked stories are below.  This week we covered everything from brain changes during menstruation to just how many lives Medicaid saves.
